Board of Directors
and Volunteers
For the first several years of our existence NAASCA functioned as a strictly grassroots organization, and operated out of funding from our own pockets. But in late 2015 we recognized that we'd grown to the point where we wanted to create the opportunity to offer even more services, programs, tools and resources. That's when we created an official non-profit charity in Florida. It functions world-wide, but contributions from any American contributor receives a tax-deduction. We've got a Board of Directors and an ever growing list of well-engaged volunteer family members.

child abuse trauma prevention, intervention & recovery
We have a single purpose at NAASCA, to address issues related to childhood abuse and trauma including sexual assault, violent or physical abuse, emotional traumas and neglect .. and we do so with only two goals:

1) educating the public, especially as related to helping society get over its taboo of discussing childhood sexual abuse (CSA), presenting facts showing child abuse to be a pandemic, worldwide problem that affects everyone

2) offering hope and healing through numerous paths, providing many services to adult survivors of child abuse and information for anyone interested in the many issues involving prevention, intervention and recovery

For the first many years of our existence, the NAASCA family functioned as a strictly grassroots organization, and operated out of funding from our own pockets. But in late 2015 we recognized that we'd grown to the point where we wanted to create the opportunity to offer even more services, programs, tools and resources.

That's when we created an official non-profit charity in Florida. It functions world-wide, but any American donor who makes a contribution receives a tax-deduction.

All NAASCA family members who participate in working on the effort are non-paid volunteers (including the Board of Directors).

We've an ever-growing list of well-engaged volunteer NAASCA family members who together do the work at NAASCA. We want to recognize them.

If you wish to volunteer with us, please get in touch with one of our already committed volunteer NAASCA family members. We'll point a new volunteer in the right direction. Believe me, with all there is to do, we'll find something for each of you. We believe each of us can play a role in educating the public, and offering services for healing to still-suffering adult survivors of childhood traumas !!

We want to highlight certain people who are committed to doing specific tasks, the work that we and all NAASCA family members depend on. It's through them that we're able to offer an ever-growing list of services, programs, tools, resources and social media efforts, all of them entirely FREE to anyone, anytime.

As we said, all NAASCA family members who participate in working on our efforts are non-paid volunteers (including the Board of Directors). We want to highlight certain people who are committed to doing specific tasks .. work that we depend on.

It's through them that we're able to offer an ever-growing list of services, programs, tools, resources and social media efforts, all of them entirely FREE to anyone, anytime.

The web site is the hub for all we do. We hope anyone who represents NAASCA has a basic strong familiarity with "NAASCA.org" and "NAASCA-mobile.org".

Family members need this familiarity if they are committed to represent NAASCA
in any way, and all NAASCA family members are responsible for Outreach.

Great News ..

NAASCA is a truely International effort now .. we've taken it GLOBAL !! We have three significant and specifically worldwide tools !

1) A while ago we established a NAASCA Ambassador program that originally listed an official NAASCA representative, an Ambassador, in each State and Province in North America. Eventually there were some 70 individual slots for NAASCA Regional Directors and Ambassadors representing the continent.

Now we're seeking representation for each part of the world. The GLOBAL and International effort seeks individuals to play the role of official NAASCA Ambassadors in every country. The entire project is coordinated by NAASCA's Director of Communications, (position is now open), who coordinates all our volunteers. Get in touch with us for more info about what's involved .. but it's pretty easy.

2) We produce a very popular Recovery Groups and Services worldwide list where we carry all the recurring weekly or monthly meetings we know of, along with all local service organizations. This unique tool is global, so nearly everyone who visits our web site can take advantage of this wonderful service. We also carry a separate "On-Line" resource for Internet-based recovery groups.

3) We also provide our unique NAASCA Calendar of Events tool that carries non-recurring calendar event listings for everything we know of .. from across the country, and around the world. This is where we list workshops, conferences, rallies, marches and so on. We have calendars for virtually every country on earth. Send us your non-recurring events. We'll list them for you !!

The group of volunteers we've identified above is but a partial listing of the many NAASCA family members who actively participate in our work daily, often completely behind the scenes, to ensure what we do at NAASCA reaches the public and the still-suffering adult survivor.

Among them are hundreds of our International NAASCA family members who participate in our Facebook and LinkedIn social media efforts. They welcome newcomers, support the still-suffering, share their own issues and respond with encouragement and tips to other's posts.

NAASCA family members understand, care for, and eventually love each other, just like in any other family.

We thank them all, each and every one !!

Be sure to check out our web site's HIGHLIGHTS page for a quick understanding of NAASCA's many FREE services / tools / projects. All are offered by non-paid NAASCA volunteers. Read the statistics of abuse. Take advantage of our special articles, member appearances on our SCAN talk shows, opinion pieces, archives and thousands of resources.

Please .. consider how you might become involved. BECOME A NAASCA VOLUNTEER !!
