Ask a Sex Abuse Survivor - www.sexabusesurvivor.com

Michael Broussard is a Philadelphia area theatre artist who uses his performance skills to raise awareness about childhood sexual abuse.

He has been staging his one-man interactive show "Ask a Sex Abuse Survivor" since June of 2014. The show utilizes a unique blend of storytelling, audience participation, and improvisation to spark a real time conversation on the effects of sexual abuse on children and adult survivors.

Himself a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, Broussard sees "Ask a Sex Abuse Survivor" as his life's work, the culmination of all those years he spent training and honing his theatrical skills. Through the show he can connect with his fellow survivors, show them they are not alone, and that there is indeed a path to healing.

"Ask a Sex Abuse Survivor" has been widely praised by mental health professionals and survivors.

Clinician Maureen O'Regan of Orleans Psychotherapy Associates said, "I walked away with an understanding of the survivor experience that no book, training, or even my years of work as a therapist ever could have given me".

Survivor and New England Director of SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests) Dave O'Regan said, "I came away from the performance uplifted, braver, and will always remember Michael's courage and draw strength from it when needed in my own life."

Broussard looks forward to reaching out many more of his fellow survivors and the general public through his involvement in the CSA Survivor Force.
