NAASCA Collaborates and Partners with Crime Survivors
Providing support and guidance to survivors

Our non profit, the National Association of Adult Survivors of Child Abuse, has a new collaboration with "Crime Survivors," an organization based in Irvine, CA.

Founded by Patricia Wenskunas, who also serves as CEO, Crime Survivors was launched following her personal experience in 2002 with being a victim of assault with a deadly weapon, and with the frustration she felt as her case made its way through the justice system.

The Crime Survivors non profit is most closely associated with its work in Southern California, but Patricia will be joining us on our radio show "Community Matters" as a Special Guest, where we'll focus on the aspects of survival that relate to issues of dealing with child sex abuse and associated crimes and injustices.

The surviving sisters of Nicole Brown Simpson are a part of Crime Survivors, and the organization has a terrific Board of Directors, Crime Survivors Council, Honorary Advisory Board and law enforcement partners. We look forward to their assistance.

We're delighted that Patricia has agreed to partner with NAASCA as we help provide solutions and solace for those who are victims of crime, as the Crime Survivors motto says, "All victims of crime have the right and responsibility to survive."

Here's a little but more about Crime Survivors and the excellent work they do:

Vision
The Crime Survivors vision is for victims of crime to recover from their experience mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially, by receiving the respect, support, and protection from law enforcement, the judicial system, and the community.

Mission Statement
The mission of Crime Survivors is to ensure the public knows victims' rights and needs and to provide resources, support, and information to empower crime victims to survive and thrive.

WE ARE HERE TO HELP!
Crime Survivors is committed to serving our community by being an advocate and resource for crime victims and their families. If you don't know where to turn, or are confused or frustrated with the public services that are available to you as you recover or seek justice, Crime Survivors can help. Our web site will provide information, resources and tools that will help you become a “Survivor”.

Victims Advocate
Crime Survivors works in your community to make victims' rights a top priority. We facilitate communication and cooperation across various public service, government and non-profit organizations to ensure that Victims' rights are understood, and that the services victims are entitled to are received. If you think you are not receiving the assistance you should, please contact us.

Resources
Crime Survivors has searched the internet and found many helpful websites that deal with the issues the non profit was founded on. There are many other websites and resources available on the internet. Note that CrimeSurvivors.com links to these sites as a general reference. Links change often and may be out of date.
