Bill Murray ..
a life unfolding

Bill's story concludes
(part 3 of 3)
On this episode of "Community Matters" Bill Murray, once a severely abused child and victim of sexual pedophiles, kidnapping and child pornography, concludes publicly telling his life story for the first time. Now that his parents have died he feels free to do so.  Mr. Murray, a long time recovering alcoholic and drug addict, hopes that revealing his past will help explain his passion for serving the community and improve his effectiveness on both the forum he's founded here at LA Community Policing and the talk show he now hosts under it's umbrella.

On LACP's "Community Matters" Bill advocates for members of society who are weak, vulnerable, innocent, socially outcast, abused, victims of crime, and the physically or mentally challenged.  He often covers public safety topics such as domestic violence, child endangerment, missing people, homelessness, racism, victims rights, judicial reform and homeland security .. among many other things.

(part 1 of 3)
On this episode of "Community Matters" Bill Murray, once a severely abused child and victim of sexual pedophiles, kidnapping and child pornography, begins to publicly tell his life story for the first time.

At LACP and on "Community Matters" Mr. Murray and other volunteers frequently serve as advocates for community based policing efforts small and large, promoting citizen participation in causes that increase public safety and improve the quality of life.

This episode of "Community Matters" is devoted to remembering the events of 9 -11 - 2001. It's been eight years since the attacks against our country which were the stimulus for the beginnings of the LA Community Policing efforts. The host of "Community Matters" is Bill Murray, founder of LACP, originally a New Yorker. His reaction to the 9 -11 terrorism were expressed in articles that eventually appeared on e-groups and then on his first-ever web site (this one). As time went on the reaction to the site was so overwhelming that LA Community Policing became a non profit organization (originally regional to LA only) and has long since been recognized as the world's biggest grassroots effort devoted to community-based policing.
